A native of New York City, N.Y., was born on August 14, 1959. He grew up in Aibonito, Puerto Rico; a small town in the mountains of the island. The Aibonito based and professional photographer, Héctor Rivera, has been recognized in prestigious photographic forums locally and internationally. His photographic career dates back more than 30 years and he presents extraordinary works in the fields of combat photography, documentary, landscape, portrait, and fine art among others. His work offers a unique and innovative style that has captivated audiences in several countries. Héctor has served as a photographer for the Miss Univers pageant team, photo-historian for the United States Army, Photography Instructor for the Petersburg and Williamsburg Photographic Societies, and Photography Instructor for the University of Puerto Rico, and Professional Photographers of America in addition to other prestigious assignments. .Héctor Rivera is a graduate of the Casa Aboy Photography Academy and was accepted in 2011 by the Hollywood Academy of Art for his work in combat photography to complete the Masters in Fine Art Photography, Also in 2011, his work was chosen as the letterhead for the American Intercontinental University newspaper. His work has been exhibited in various local and international galleries. Rivera has also completed a Masters in International Business Administration (MBA-IB) from the American Intercontinental University and the United States Army Advanced Instructors course. This extraordinary photographer is a member of the photographic societies of Richmond, Petersburg, and Williamsburg as well as the Professional Photographers of America since 1981.
